Phil approaches the geology presentations from a standpoint of his previous career experience having run an international mining/geology consultancy for over 40 years. Topics could and have included the fundamentals of geology including: earth composition, plate tectonics, what the earth has looked like through time, stratigraphy, different rock types and how they are formed, structural geology including faults and folds, mineral deposits, mining and the importance of metals, markets, and a little bit on mineral economics.

In addition, Phil likes to mix it up with contemporary issues that are related to geology and mineralisation, as well as picking up on global geological discoveries/events that affect us all.
