The Archaeology group meets indoors in winter. We have lectures and talks by members and invited experts, usually illustrated and covering all aspects of archaeology and some local history. Examples are the archaeology of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, Malta and local studies of Kirkoswald. In summer we have site visits for eg. to Hadrians Wall, and local industrial history sites.
